8th Avenue Celebrates 30 Years in Frederick County

8th AvenueMore than 5 billion pounds of pasta has been manufactured in Frederick County over the last 30 years at the 8th Avenue Food & Provisions facility in Fort Collier Industrial Park. The facility's premier pasta brand, Ronzoni, is well known across the United States and the company manufactures store-brand pastas sold at major grocery store chains like Giant, Martin's, Food Lion, Kroger, Walmart, Publix, and Aldi. 

Advanced manufacturing is Frederick County's largest industry sector, employing more than 6,500 individuals. Food manufacturing is the second largest sub-sector, accounting for 22% of advanced manufacturing employment. Frederick County's food manufacturing sector has grown 1.4% annually over the last five years and is forecasted to grow 1.5% annually over the next decade.

Manufacturing facilities offer diverse career opportunities, including production associates, industrial machinery mechanics, human resource professionals, finance managers, operations managers, and more.
