The Widget Cup® to be Held April 5
Local high schools compete in design/build competition
Eight-person teams of career and technical education students from Clarke County, Handley, James Wood, Millbrook, and Sherando high schools will compete in the 5th Annual Widget Cup® competition on Friday, April 5. The event will be held at Sherando High School from noon until 6pm. During that time, teams will design, build, and present prototypes of a pre-determined widget. The event is free and open to the public. Teams will design their widget on the stage of Sherando's auditorium before moving to the shop to build. The build will be streamed via live feed in the auditorium for public viewing. The event will conclude with teams presenting their widgets to the client (to be announced at the beginning of the event!), with the winner being announced at 6pm. TheWidgetCup.com
