Virginia Treasury staff will be available to help callers in searching for and initiating the claim process for any unclaimed property that has been escheated to The Commonwealth.
Unclaimed property can be:
- Dormant/inactive bank accounts
- Uncashed checks
- Utility deposits
- Securities
- Dividends
- Insurance policy proceeds
- etc.
