Discounted rabies vaccines for dogs and cats will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Oct. 26 at the Frederick County/Esther Boyd Animal Shelter.

Vaccines are for pets four months old and up and cost $13, payable in cash only. This is a first-come, first served clinic, so expect to wait. Dogs must be on a leash and cats in a carrier. A previous rabies certificate is required for a three-year vaccine. Bring current rabies certificates, if possible.

By law, tags, licenses, and/or receipts cannot be accepted for the three-year shot, however, a three year vaccine will be administered. It is not necessary to reside in Frederick County in order to participate in the clinic.
