This Saturday, Clear Brook Park will go to the dogs.

The annual Parks and pets Extravaganza, hosted by the county's Parks and Recreation Department and the Frederick County/Esther Boyd Animal Shelter, will bring a variety of pet-related vendors, dock diving for canines, a pet Halloween Costume Parade, Silent Auction and Car Show to the park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 5. There will also be canine demonstrations throughout the day and food for sale.
